Orrcon Steel’s Toowoomba branch in Queensland has relocated to a much larger site - but just a stone’s throw from its old premises on Moore Road.
The new bright-blue building is significantly bigger than the previous site, with greater hard stand areas able to hold more steel, tube and pipe.
“We didn’t have the capacity in the old branch to stock our broad range of steel products and building accessories,” Orrcon Steel’s Toowoomba branch manager, Tony Seaton, said.
“The larger warehouse means we can offer shorter turnaround times for delivery to our customers.
“We also have two 10 tonne cranes onsite to ensure product can be loaded onto trucks more efficiently and safely.” Tony said.
The showroom and office area has a modern, open-plan layout with supermarket style racking now able to hold more building and fencing accessories.
“It has been incredible for staff and customers since we moved in, with customers simply amazed at how good it looks.
“I have to say that this really feels right for us – it’s like we are in our rightful place” said Tony at the end of the first week of the relocation.
