Metalcorp Scam Warning

We have been made aware of a recruitment scam involving communications (e.g. emails, phone calls, messages on social media) about fake job offers with Metalcorp Morwell in Victoria. We are taking this matter seriously and are taking steps to put an end to this scam. 
 
The scam communications originate from metalcorpsteelptylimited@gmail.com instead of the legitimate Metalcorp domains @metalcorp.com.au and @metalcorpsteel.com.au. Please note that all our employees, including our recruiting teams, use email addresses that end in @bluescopesteel.com, @orrcon.com.au, @metalcorpsteel.com.au or @metalcorp.com.au
 
We recommend that you do not respond to anyone making unsolicited or suspicious offers of employment on behalf of Metalcorp. If you receive such an approach we advise you to contact your local law enforcement agency and also encourage you to report it via Scamwatch  - https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/.  If you are ever unsure whether an email, message or phone call is legitimately from Metalcorp Steel, please contact us on 1300 677 266 or at info@orrcon.com.au
